The Academy Is… has been getting all the attention lately and Travis is getting irked. To get revenge, he goes to a voodoo shop and buys a gris-gris (“gree-gree,” a pouch-like amulet that can be used to put a hex on someone) and uses it to steal William’s voice. The band now unable to perform, TAI’s fans start turning their fandom to We The Kings instead. When WTK drops by the TAI bus to offer their condolences, Sisky and The Butcher notice a distinct insincerity in Travis. Suspicious, they sneak onto WTK’s bus and search through Travis’s belongings (drawing on their Stealin’ S#*! experiences). They don’t know what to make of the gris-gris, but they know it’s important. When they hear the band returning, they run for it, taking the gris-gris with them. Bringing it back to their own bus, Mike says it looks familiar and shows them a website that talks about gris-gris and voodoo (http://www.erzulies.com/site/catalog/category/64). They find out that since it was Travis who cast the hex, only he can undo it. The band follows Travis when he goes back to the voodoo shop to get another gris-gris to steal TAI’s popularity. The guys grab Travis and bring him back to their bus, demanding that he undo the gris-gris and give William back his voice. When Travis refuses, Sisky threatens to shave his head, telling him that “no matter how good you sound, who’s gonna be a fan of a creepy bald guy?” Freaked, Travis agrees to undo the hex, which he does by untying the gris-gris pouch and pouring its contents out the window into the wind. With William’s voice restored, the band wins back all their fans and the tour continues. But Travis swears he will have his revenge!
